Cars in German City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Roughly fifty cars have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Police then found many other marked automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say initial examinations show the fluid was likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the incident," they stated.

Local authorities said they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the public for details.

A senior political figure stated the incident made him speechless and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a shooter targeting people of foreign heritage in 2020.
